One Good Thing is a registered nonprofit and is currently applying for 501(c)(3) status. While donations are not yet tax-deductible, we expect that to change soon—and retroactively apply once approved.

Question 3: How will I know my donation was used well?

Every dollar is documented on public tax information and a video that’s shared with the world. You’ll see it happen.

Question 4: Can small donations really make a difference?

Absolutely. Even a single gift can create a powerful story that inspires thousands more to give.

We look for everyday heroes and underdog stories - people who give back, overcome, or simply need a hand at the right time. Our team reviews nominations, follows leads from our community, and looks for ways we can make the greatest impact. Some of our monthly members even help vote on future giving missions!
